Located in Barrie Ontario, Stepping Stones is a non-profit nursery school that
provides today’s parents with an affordable option for their children to learn
through interactive and independent play. The Stepping Stones environment is
warm, inviting and open to all children between the ages of 2.5
and 5 years of age.
The
school is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, which consists of parents with
children currently in the program. Like you, they want the best for their
children in an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Our
staff members are qualified ECE teachers and they structure their classes based
on the Stepping Stones
teaching philosophy
and play-based class
programs.
Because Stepping Stones is a non-profit school, we rely heavily on volunteer
participation. With the help from
participating parents,
the support of the
community, government grants and
fundraising we
are able to provide quality educational experiences keeping the costs to a
minimum. Throughout the year, parents are asked to play an active role in the
learning sessions their children are exposed to.
We are

Stepping Stones Cooperative Nursery School is a member of the Parent
Co-operative Pre-school Corporation (PCPC). PCPC Toronto and District is a
non-profit organization that values and encourages the involvement of its
shareholders.
